President John Dramani Mahama has officially terminated the appointment of Charles Kraikue as the Director-General of the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA).
This decision was made public in an official statement dated April 2, 2025, and signed by the President’s Secretary, Dr. Callistus Mahama.
The statement outlined that Kraikue is required to hand over his responsibilities to Stephen Wilfred Arthur, who will assume the role of Acting Director-General of the GCAA.
In the statement, President Mahama expressed his appreciation for Kraikue’s service to the nation, acknowledging his contributions during his tenure.
“I write to formally inform you that the President of the Republic has terminated your appointment as the Director-General of the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, effective immediately,” the statement read. “You are directed to hand over your duties to Stephen Wilfred Arthur, who shall act as the Director-General of the Authority. The President extends his gratitude for your service to the nation.”
