President John Mahama has reassigned Edward Bawa, who was recently appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC), to serve as the Group CEO of GOIL.
The former Bongo MP was initially appointed to lead GNPC on January 16, 2025, replacing Joseph Dadzie. His reassignment to GOIL has sparked widespread interest.
Mr. Bawa confirmed the development in a Facebook post, stating that the reassignment takes immediate effect.
According to him, the move is part of President Mahama’s broader energy sector strategy.
Meanwhile, his successor at GNPC is yet to be announced.
