The National Democratic Congress(NDC) flagbearer, John Mahama has confirmed a congratulatory call from the New Patriotic Party(NPP) flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
The former President disclosed this in a tweet on X, calling the Vice President his brother.
Mr Mahama further expressed gratitude to Ghanaians for the overwhelming support.
I have, this morning, received a congratulatory call from my brother Dr @MBawumia, following my emphatic victory in Saturday’s election.

Dr Bawumia on Sunday morning conceded defeated in the election and extended congratulatory messages to Mahama.
He acknowledged that Ghanaians have spoken and he respect the will of the citizens.
Dr Bawumia further pledged his support to ensure Ghana succeeds.
The Electoral Commission(EC) is yet to officially declare the results of the 2024 election, however Bawumia said his decision was informed by the data from his collation room.
