The flaggearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has pledged to prioritize job creation and support for entrepreneurs if elected into office.
Mahama criticized the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), arguing that their self-praise is misguided and that the country requires a reset from the economic challenges created by the current administration.
He described the NPP as a party living in illusion for failing to acknowledge the hardships faced by Ghanaians.
Mahama and the NDC have made it clear that their main focus, aside from economic recovery, is to create decent employment opportunities for Ghanaians during his proposed four-year administration.
He emphasized that his goal is to lay a foundation for sustainable economic growth through initiatives like the 24-hour economy proposal.
Mahama further expressed his disappointment that the Akufo-Addo-led government is not recognizing the real challenges facing the country.
