Mahama promises improved infrastructure in Zongo communities

-

If elected in the upcoming December polls, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, has pledged to significantly improve infrastructure in Zongo communities across the country, with a focus on education and healthcare.

Speaking to Zongo residents during a campaign stop in Sunyani, Bono Region, Mahama emphasised the urgent need for better access to quality education and healthcare services in these areas.

He pointed out that many Zongo communities are underserved, with schools located far from them and a lack of Islamic educational institutions.

To address these challenges, Mahama promised the construction of more Islamic secondary schools and the establishment of new health centres and clinics in Zongo communities.

He underscored the party’s dedication to improving the lives of marginalized communities.

“These initiatives are part of the NDC’s manifesto. Most schools are far from Zongos, and Islamic schools are few.

“We plan to build more Islamic secondary schools and, additionally, establish new healthcare facilities to enhance health services in these areas,” he added.
