President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to enhancing the welfare and working conditions of both active military personnel and civilian staff within the Ghana Armed Forces.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony for officer cadets at the Ghana Military Academy on Friday, April 11, the President emphasized that the sacrifices made by service members must be met with fair and timely recognition.

“Dear military personnel and civilian staff, I am determined to systematically improve your conditions of service. GEHOC will be one of our key plants in providing sustainable financing for the Ghana Armed Forces. Your sacrifices deserve recognition,” he said.

“For our retired personnel who have sacrificed so much for our nation, we will ensure that your retirement benefits are paid promptly,” he added.

President Mahama highlighted the essential role the armed forces play in maintaining national stability and supporting development, stressing that government will continue to provide the needed resources to meet both professional and operational needs.
