President John Mahama has submitted the names of 10 regional ministerial nominees to Parliament, seeking approval.
The letter, signed by the Acting Presidential Spokesperson, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, was addressed to the Speaker of Parliament and outlines the President’s nominees and their respective portfolios.
The nominees are for the Oti, Volta, Eastern, Northern, North East, Upper East, Ashanti, Ahafo, Savannah, and Greater Accra regions.
However, six regions remain outstanding, including Western, Western North, Central, Bono East, Bono, and Upper West.
President Mahama has already announced a reduction in the number of government ministries, cutting them from 30 to 23.
This move forms part of an administrative restructuring initiative aimed at enhancing efficiency and streamlining government operations.
