President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has slammed former President John Dramani Mahama for being inconsistent with his convictions.
According to President Akufo-Addo, Mahama often shifts his stance on key issues.
“He will say no to something today and change his mind to mean yes the next moment,” the President remarked.
Speaking to Chiefs, Muslim Leaders, and the people of Tema at the Community 5 Apostolic Church, President Akufo-Addo used Mahama’s position on the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy as an example of his inconsistency.
“John Mahama once vowed not to waste GHC billion on Free SHS, but now he wants to convince Ghanaians that he will continue with the policy because it is a good one,” President Akufo-Addo said.
With his term nearing its end, President Akufo-Addo urged the electorate to disregard Mahama’s flip-flopping and instead vote for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
“Bawumia will continue the good work we’ve started and ensure massive development for this country,” the President said.
On the Agenda 111 project, President Akufo-Addo reported steady progress, stating that it is currently 70% complete, with 12 hospitals underway in the Greater Accra region.
“Agenda 111 is moving forward, and the development of these healthcare facilities will significantly improve our healthcare system,” he added.
