Mahama is dangerous to the progress of free SHS – Nana B

-

The National Youth Organiser of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Henry Nana Boakye, has described former President John Mahama as dangerous to the progress of the Akufo-Addo-led government’s free Senior High School (SHS) policy.

According to Nana B as he is popularly called, Mr Mahama’s U-turn to support the free SHS is only a camouflage to get back to the presidency and implement his own agenda.

Speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen show, Nana B challenged it was not possible for someone who bluntly criticised the policy to suddenly support it.

“Someone who couldn’t even explain what he meant by a review of the free SHS has no commitment and is dangerous to the progress of the policy.

“Ghanaians must be willing to protect the free SHS by ensuring that Mahama is far away from the presidency because he doesn’t believe in it and will cancel it if voted into power,” he said.

Former President Mahama, speaking at the official opening of the Ghana National Union of Technical Students’ 27th Annual Residential Delegates Congress in Kumasi, clarified that the free SHS had come to stay and rubbished claims that he would cancel the free SHS policy.
