North Tongu MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has said that the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama, is the best person to protect the public purse, describing him as ‘incorruptible’.
Mr Ablakwa has underscored the need for Ghanaians to entrust the public purse in the hands of the former President, emphasising his trustworthiness to fight corruption if elected on December 7.
Speaking at the NDC manifesto launch in Winneba on Saturday, the former Deputy Education Minister has a proven track record on the fight against corruption.
“The only way we can fight, combat and defeat corruption is by having leadership which is incorruptible trusted has the track record of being honest with been honest with the Ghanaian people. Without character and integrity, the fight against cannot be won,” he said.
According to him, though corruption has been evident in the incumbent government, he takes solace in the fact that Mr Mahama on December 7 will rescue Ghanaians.
