Mahama has not learned anything new; don’t be deceived – Napo

-

The NPP’s Vice Presidential nominee, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, is cautioning Ghanaians not to be deceived by the apparent change in attitude of former President John Dramani Mahama, stating that he [Mahama] has not learned any lessons.

Dr. Opoku Prempeh made these remarks during a community engagement at Asante Agona in the Afigya Sekyere East Constituency in the Ashanti Region.

This event marked the end of his engagements in the Ashanti Region before he proceeded to the Bono and Bono East Regions.

He questioned why the former President, who once claimed that four years is insufficient for a President to make an impact, now seeks to return to office, knowing he would have only four years to govern. Dr. Opoku Prempeh believes this indicates the former President’s desperation.

“Do not be fooled by the seeming change in attitude of John Dramani Mahama. He has not learned any lessons” Napo opined.

Dr. Opoku Prempeh further emphasized that, President Mahama remains unchanged and urged Ghanaians not to be misled by his seemingly altered demeanour.

“Why would the former President, who once stated that four years is not enough for a President to make an impact, now seek to return to office knowing he only has four years left to rule? This only shows how desperate he is.”

He added, “Mahama remains the same old person. Ghanaians should not be deceived by his apparent change in attitude.”

The Acting President of the Agona Traditional Council, Nana Gyapah Ameyaw II, reassured the NPP not to worry about votes within his jurisdiction, stating that the party’s good works have already been recognized by the people.

He also urged Dr. Opoku Prempeh to ensure that his supporters run a peaceful campaign, free from insults.
