Mahama Fuseini confirmed as DCE for Central Gonja District

Mahama Fuseini has been overwhelmingly confirmed as the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the Central Gonja District in the Savannah Region.

His confirmation came on Monday, April 14, 2025, following a vote by assembly members. Out of 43 ballots cast, Fuseini secured 42 ‘Yes’ votes and just one ‘No’ vote — representing a 98% approval rating.

In his acceptance speech, Fuseini pledged to advance the development agenda of President John Dramani Mahama in the district and assured residents of his commitment to work closely with stakeholders to improve their livelihoods.

Fuseini’s appointment was part of a broader list of DCE nominees announced by President Mahama in late March 2025, with confirmation processes currently underway across various districts nationwide.
