Mahama Ayariga’s diplomacy at an all-time best as Majority Leader – Afenyo-Markin

-

Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has praised the diplomatic skills of Majority Leader Mahama Ayariga, describing them as being at an all-time best.

Speaking in an interview with Channel One TV on Wednesday, 29th January, Afenyo-Markin acknowledged Ayariga’s role in fostering dialogue and consensus-building in Parliament.

His comments come in the wake of the Minority’s initial decision to withhold approval for Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, the Minister-designate for Lands and Natural Resources.

The opposition had raised concerns regarding the nomination process, leading to tensions within the chamber.

However, Ayariga’s intervention played a crucial role in de-escalating the situation.

Commending Ayariga’s approach, Mr. Afenyo-Markin highlighted his ability to engage in constructive discussions that led to a resolution.

“Ayariga’s diplomacy is at an all-time best. He engaged in some useful discussions that led to the apology,” he stated, indicating that the Majority Leader’s efforts were instrumental in fostering parliamentary cooperation.
