President John Dramani Mahama arrived in Banjul, The Gambia, on Friday, January 17, 2025, as part of a two-country visit to The Gambia and Senegal.
The visit aims to thank the Heads of State of the two West African nations for their attendance at his inauguration ceremony on January 7.
The visit also underscores President Mahama’s commitment to strengthening relations with Ghana’s West African neighbors.
During his stay, the two heads of state are expected to hold a private meeting to discuss strategies for further enhancing bilateral relations between Ghana and The Gambia.
Key areas of focus will include cooperation in trade, security, and development.
