Mahama appoints Malik Basintale as Acting CEO of YEA

President John Mahama has appointed Deputy National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Malik Basintale, as the Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA).

The appointment follows the resignation of Kofi Baah Agyepong, who served in former President Akufo-Addo’s government.

Mr. Basintale is set to officially assume office on Monday, January 27, 2025.

The appointee is a vibrant and influential figure who made waves in the 2024 general election with his campaign and mobilization strategy.

Following his nomination, Mr. Basintale took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his gratitude to President Mahama.

“Thank you, Mr. President, H.E John D. Mahama. We shall not fail you,” he wrote.

Congratulatory messages have since flooded social media to celebrate his feat.
