The flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama is advocating for a system to fast-track the prosecution of persons who are found to have misappropriated public funds.

Mr Mahama made the call as he reiterated his promise to audit expenditure from some public funds.

According to him, the audit will be devoid of partisanship.

To the many constituents who were listening to the former President, his new approach towards fighting corruption is ruthless, but, will demand a leader with an extreme political will.

Mr Mahama said a future NDC government through the operation recover all loots, will ensure that monies stolen from the national coffers are returned.

Speaking to journalists in Sunyani, he said the investigations will not only be about the NPP but members of his party as well.
