Madagascar head coach names squad for 2026 World Cup qualifiers

Madagascar head coach Corentin Martins has announced a 23-man squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against the Central African Republic and Ghana.

The Barea will face the Central African Republic at Stade El Arbi Zaouli on March 19 before hosting Ghana at Stade Mimoun-Al-Arsi in Morocco on March 24.

These crucial Matchday five and six fixtures mark Martins’ first competitive games in charge since his appointment in January 2025.

The squad features five new faces: Dupire Geordan (Swift Hesperange), Noireau-Dauriat Samuel (EA Guingamp), Acapandié Mathieu (FC Nantes), Marcellin Jean Harisson (Beitar Jerusalem), and Iva Tommy (US Orléans), all receiving their first call-ups.

Additionally, Rakotonomenjanahary J. Baggio and Andrianarimanana Arohasina return to the squad, boosting Madagascar’s bid to secure vital points in the qualifiers.
