Founder and leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG), Percival Kofi Akpaloo, has launched the party’s 2024 manifesto over the weekend at the Ola Senior High School in Ho.
Titled ‘A New Plan for Jobs and Wealth Creation’, the manifesto outlines a series of financial initiatives aimed at alleviating poverty and enhancing the living standards of Ghanaians.
During his address to party supporters and citizens, Akpaloo remarked that he is running for the highest office in the land because he believes Ghana needs leadership that will provide a great future.
His aim is to ensure that everyone has money in their pockets, which will not only enhance individual lives but also stimulate the overall economy.
Among his policies are free university education for all citizens, job creation through the establishment of a US$10 billion job fund dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs and start-ups.
He also plans to tap into the rich natural resources the country offers to generate revenue to boost the standard of living.
Finally, Akpaloo reflected on the nation’s challenges, stating, “Over the years, though we have seen our many failings, we have, most importantly, failed to see and capitalize on our numerous strengths. Our indomitable strength is in our diversity. Ours is a nation rich in natural resources such as cocoa, gold, timber, bauxite, diamonds, oil, and gas, but our most important resource is our people. Yet, we see our young men and women roaming the streets without hope.”
This event marks a significant step as the LPG gears up for the upcoming general elections.
