Mrs Patience Agordzor said her husband was in good spirit and “he said God is in control so I should just be calm.”
His arrest, according to Mrs Agordzor, is a kind of intimidation to cow her husband into submission.

The livid woman said “I see it as a kind of intimidation. That is the way I look at it. Because I don’t see how they can stand on WhatsApp messages and start persecuting somebody. You keep the person in custody [but] all who were invited concerning those WhatsApp messages have all been discharged.”
She spoke to Joy News, Tuesday after meeting her husband briefly at the Bureau of National Investigations.

Mrs Agordzor was, however, relived after waiting for over 10 hours before being allowed to see her husband.
“I have seen him, I have spoken to him. And I think it is a better way of relieving myself than waiting. We are trusting that the truth will come out and he will be released anytime soon,” she stated.
Meanwhile, ACP Dr Agordzor has been charged with abetment to commit treason for his alleged involvement in the coup plot.
He is set to face the court on Wednesday on the charges slapped on him.
