The Ghana Police Service has commenced investigations into a robbery attack which occurred on Wednesday at Gomoa Potsin Junction on the Winneba-Kasoa highway.
According to the Dominase District Police Commander, DSP Paul Ankan, the police upon picking intelligence on the attack, rushed to the scene but the robbers managed to escape.
He revealed on Adom FM’s morning show Dwaso Nsem on Friday that the robbers were able to rob unsuspecting persons at that particular spot due to network challenges.

The closest check point, according to DSP Paul Ankan, was few metres away from the scene of attack.
The robbers, who were about 10 in number, posed as policemen and robbed passengers of their money and other valuables.
DSP Ankan revealed that one person was injured in the robbery attack and is currently receiving treatment at the hospital.
He further advised drivers who ply the road to be extra vigilant, adding that the police will soon mount check points in the area to prevent further robbery cases.
