Member of Parliament (MP) for Tema East Constituency, Daniel Titus-Glover, has praised former President Jerry John Rawlings for the introduction of the National Farmers’ Day celebration.
According to the legislator, the establishment of the Farmer’s Day in the Provisional National Defence Council era by former President Rawlings was a good thing and the former president needs to be praised for the initiative.
“I congratulate Ex-President Rawlings for establishing the Farmer’s Day to recognise the efforts and contributions of farmers to the economic development of the country,” he said.

Speaking in an interview on Adom FM’s morning show Dwaso Nsem on Monday, Mr Titus-Glover, who doubles as the Deputy Transport Minister, also commended successive governments for maintaining the Farmers’ Day initiative.
The Minister further lauded Ghanaian farmers for their continuous efforts in ensuring food security in the country.
National Farmers’ Day is an annual event organised by the government to recognise and celebrate efforts of farmers, fishermen and other agricultural workers to food production in the country.
