Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, has described the three men arrested by state security apparatus for plotting to target the presidency as ‘jokers’.
“In today’s era of modernisation, you want to go and carry out a coup? They are jokers! They are joking and see the equipment they were hoping to use, what will you get from it?” he quizzed.
Three people, picked up by state security agencies on suspicion of engaging in “an elaborate plot targeted at the Presidency,” have been slapped with five charges.

They include conspiracy to manufacture arms and ammunition without lawful authority and possession of explosives and firearms without lawful excuse.
Their pleas were not taken by the court.
They are Dr Frederick Yao Mac-Palm, Dornyah ‘Ezor’ Kafui, a local weapon manufacturer and Bright Allan Debrah Ofosu aka BB or ADC, freight manager.

Speaking on the matter on Accra based Net2 TV, the outspoken MP said the retrieved weapons are enough to deal with them.
