There was near pandemonium at the meeting between the Electoral Commission (EC) and the Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) on Thursday, January 30, 2020.

This follows altercation between the representatives of various parties and the flagbearer of the All People’s Party (APC), Hassan Ayariga.
Narrating the incident on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme, former General Secretary of the People’s National Convention, Atik Mohammed, said the parties disagreed on the compilation of a new Voters Register.
The argument, he said, become very heated so the leader of Liberal Party of Ghana, Kofi Akpaloo decided to record it.
He noted that the General Secretary of APC, Mordechai Thiombiano Lompo, decided to stop Mr Akpaloo from taking the video by hitting his phone.
He said Mr Akpaloo became irritated and decided to return the punch which generated some mêlée at the meeting.
He added that, Archbishop Gabriel Palmer-Buckle, who is a member of the Eminent Advisory Committee, intervened and stopped the men from engaging each other in a battle.
