The Middle Belt Development Authority (MBDA) has outlined a number of projects that have been completed under government’s ‘One Million One Constituency’ initiative within the area of its authority.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the MBDA, Joe Danquah, who outlined the projects he described as ‘game changer projects’ under the Ministry for Special Development Initiative said the projects were evident for Ghanaians to see.
Mr Danquah said between 2018 and 2019, over 1000 projects were initiated based on needs assessments conducted among local communities.
Most of the projects, he said, include sanitation, and for that matter, public toilets, mechanized boreholes, markets and warehouses.
“We have 142 toilets and 139 water projects in the Ashanti region; Eastern Region has 105 toilets and 105 water projects with the Bono Regions having 93 toilets and water projects,” he outlined.
For the warehouses; Ashanti and Eastern Regions have seven while the Bono Region has six. The Ejura warehouse that was commissioned recently is one of our projects,” he added.
Hon Danquah who was speaking on Adom FM‘s Dwaso Nsem Monday was optimistic the Authority would deliver on its mandate, on full scale within the 109 constituencies under its care.
