The Greater Accra Regional Minister-designate, Linda Akweley Ocloo, has set a record as the first nominee to complete her vetting in the shortest possible time.
The Shai-Osudoku Member of Parliament (MP) appeared before the Appointments Committee on Tuesday, January 28, 2025.
Unlike her colleagues, who faced longer questioning sessions, she was not asked many questions.
Defence Minister-nominee, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, who appeared earlier, faced the committee for five hours.
However, Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin noted that the delegation accompanying Madam Ocloo was formidable, demonstrating her competence to run the Ministry.
The Chairman, Bernard Ahiafor, acknowledged the nominee’s guests and discharged Linda.
In total, the nominee spent less than 10 minutes before the committee.
If approved, she is expected to focus on urban development, youth empowerment, and strengthening public services in the region.
