Head coach of liberty professionals, Reginald Asante Boateng has lauded his players after they managed to grab their first win of the 2017/2018 Premier League campaign after beating new entrants Eleven Wonders 2-0.
A goal in each half ensured the travellers took all 3 points at the Lenclay stadium and this head coach of the winners believes was due to their good run at the venue.
Speaking at a presser, Coach Reginald said playing Ashanti Gold at the same venue during the pre-season gave them a fair idea of playing at the Lenclay Stadium.
“Lenclay stadium has always been a good venue for Liberty Professionals from time immemorial and we have always performed well here but I am also happy with the level of play by my boys”, he said.
“I appreciate the versatility of my players and I hope they improve as the league wears off and play better”.
Coach Reginald was quick to debunk reports that he was sidelining experienced players like Muntari Tagoe and Veteran Papa Arko in the team and blamed their absence on injuries they sustained during training.
Liberty Professionals return home to Dansoman Karl Reindolf Park to host league leaders, Ashanti Gold in a midweek fixture on Wednesday.
