It has emerged that the medical doctor who tested positive for the infectious coronavirus at the LEKMA Hospital at Teshie came into contact with about 65 people.

The Municipal Director of Health at the LEKMA Hospital at Teshie, Jacqueline Sfarijiani, who disclosed this on Adom FM’s morning show Dwaso Nsem Tuesday, said he worked at a different hospital and so they combined all the figures including all the hospitals he worked at.

She said all those have been tested and are being monitored per the protocols.

“The contract tracing list of the medical doctor is about 65 people including people at where he tested positive,” she said.

Speaking of the fear of the people in the area and those who visit the hospital, Mrs Sfarijiani said since he works with one specialised area, they will interact with the people and explain to them the measures they are putting in place.

She, however, said she is yet to contact the doctor after the confirmation of his status.
