Leicester City confirms signing Jordan Ayew on a two-year deal from Crystal Palace

-

Ghana international, Jordan Ayew has secured a transfer to Leicester City, joining the Premier League returnees during the ongoing summer transfer window.

Ayew, who made 212 appearances for Crystal Palace, has moved to the East Midlands for an initial fee of £5 million, with the potential to rise to £7.5 million based on performance-related bonuses.

The 32-year-old forward brings valuable experience to Steve Cooper’s squad, joining forces with Jamie Vardy as the Foxes gear up for their match against Fulham this Saturday.

With 275 Premier League appearances across three different clubs, Ayew has netted more goals for Palace (23) than any other team. Last season, he played 37 games for the Eagles, contributing to 11 goals (four goals and seven assists), with his assist tally being the highest in the Palace squad.

“I’m very happy and proud to be here. I want to thank the Club for their efforts in making this move happen – it all came together quickly, and I’m thrilled to be here,” Ayew expressed.

“As a player, when you know the manager wants you, it gives you extra motivation to join and work under him to improve. Even at 32, I’m eager to learn and grow. I’m here to work hard and help the team achieve its goals,” he added.
