Mulch Company Limited has announced the permanent closure of the Legon Botanical Garden on October 30, 2024.
The Dutch company shared the news which has triggered diverse questions on X, formerly Twitter on Friday, October 11.
However, the reason for the shutdown was not made known.
“We are Closing the Legon Botanical Gardens on 30th October, 2024. We believe we have been able to put lots of smiles on countless number of faces all these years. Legon Botanical Gardens was a chapter. Follow Mulch Company Ltd,” the post read.
Mulch and the University of Ghana over the years has managed the garden through a public-private-partnership (PPP).
