The Member of Parliament for Nhyiaso Constituency, Dr. Stephen Amoah, is pushing for the institution of a legislative instrument (LI) to support foundations that are transforming people’s lives.

According to him, organizations like the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation, which positively impact the lives of many, deserve support through legislative instruments.

“We need such foundations to support people’s lives,” he emphasized.

Speaking to JoyNews at the silver jubilee celebration of the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation in Kumasi, Dr. Amoah noted that initiatives like free education and national health insurance are not enough to support vulnerable populations.

He highlighted the remarkable impact of the Otumfuo Foundation on the socio-economic development of the country, extending beyond the Ashanti Region, particularly in education.

“We have all listened to testimonies about how the Foundation has immensely and tremendously helped many people in our country, especially those from less fortunate communities,” he said.

The legislator believes that support for the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation should come from both within and outside Ghana.

“It’s extremely massive, covering not only education but also infrastructure development, health, and other key sectors. This is unprecedented and historical, and we are all happy to have contributed and continue to contribute to support Otumfuo’s foundation,” he expressed.

Dr. Amoah noted that this level of commitment from the Otumfuo in supporting poor children in education and other essential sectors is unparalleled in Ghana’s history.

He pledged his commitment to supporting the Otumfuo Foundation.
