Legendary Nigerian singer, Onyeka Onwenu, has tragically passed away at the age of 72.
The music icon reportedly died on Tuesday night, July 30, at Reddington Hospital in Lagos.
According to sources close to the family, Onwenu was attending the birthday party of Mrs. Stella Okoli of Emzor Pharmaceuticals when the incident occurred.
After delivering a performance, Onwenu returned to her seat and suddenly slumped.
She was immediately rushed to Reddington Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
The cause of death is yet to be confirmed.
This marks a profound loss for the Nigerian music industry and her countless fans worldwide.
