The Special Prosecutor nominee, Martin Amidu has been advised to stop the one-man show and learn to be a team player.
This advice, an aspiring National Organiser of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Chief Biney, said will help Martin Amidu a lot when heeded.
“Martin Amidu should learn to be a team player because the job is not only about him…it is about the office and there will be a team of lawyers he will work with. He must learn to respect their views…,” he advised on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen on Wednesday.

Martin Amidu on Tuesday, February 13, faced Parliament’s Appointments Committee in what could probably be described as the longest ever parliamentary vetting session for a single individual in the 4th Republic.
The Special Prosecutor nominee responded to over 180 questions from all members of the committee in the over 7-hour long session.
The NDC Minority asked the most questions; 75% of all questions asked, with the caucus’ leader, Haruna Iddrisu, being the individual who asked the most number of questions.
Most of the questions focused on past statements and articles Martin Amidu had written.

There is, however, a pending suit at the Supreme Court by NDC member and former Deputy Attorney General Dominic Ayine, challenging Amidu’s nomination.
Martin Amidu received an overwhelming endorsement from Parliament’s Appointments Committee after the vetting.
The unanimous approval notwithstanding, NPP Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong insisted Martin Amidu showed signs of arrogance and hence need to be called to order by the President.

“Martin Amidu is very arrogant, very very arrogant, look at the kind of arrogance he is demonstrating at the vetting committee? He just can’t take a simple joke…,” he said on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen on Tuesday.
Commenting on Amidu’s appointment, Chief Biney also said that Martin Amidu needs to be patient and learn to accommodate the views of other legal practitioners he will work with if he is to succeed.
