Language barrier doesn’t affect my shows in Nigeria – Cina Soul

Ghanaian singer, Cina Soul says she receives equally good cheers during shows in Nigeria in spite of being a Ghanaian.

According to her, when she was signed onto one of the world’s leading music firms, Universal Music Group, she thought Nigerians wouldn’t patronize her songs but it didn’t take long for her to be proved wrong.

Talking to Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, she said she always received the needed cheers whenever she mounts platforms for shows in Nigeria.

Some top Ghanaian acts including Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale experienced cold reception from Nigerian fans during their performances at a Zylofon concert just a few months ago.

The crowd in Nigeria could hardly relate to or appreciate the Ghanaian artistes in contrast to the cheer received by their Nigerian counterparts, sparking debates of how well Ghanaian acts were promoting their songs across Ghanais borders.

But Cina Soul said she had a different reception compared to his colleagues.

I thought they might not receive me well and the language barrier wasn’t a problem. They cheered me on anytime I perform [sic]”.
