Kwahuhene donates GH¢200,000 to Kantamanto fire victims

The Paramount Chief of Kwahu, Daasebre Akuamoah Boateng III, has donated GH¢200,000 to support traders affected by the devastating January 2 fire at Kantamanto Market.

The donation, aimed at aiding reconstruction efforts and helping traders rebuild their businesses, was presented on his behalf by Kwahu Abetifihene, Akyemfuor Asiedu Agyemang III; Kwahu Tafohene, Nana Kwasi Opoku Mintah II; and Kwahu Pepeasehene, Nana Bonsu Ayirepe II.

Speaking on behalf of the Kwahuhene, Akyemfuor Asiedu Agyemang III reaffirmed the solidarity of Kwahu chiefs with the affected traders and expressed deep sympathy for their losses.

He also urged the government to collaborate with traders to develop a modern and resilient market.

Receiving the donation, Aikins Boakye Mensah, chairman of the redevelopment committee, expressed profound gratitude to the Kwahu overlord and his chiefs for their timely support.

He further appealed for additional assistance, particularly iron rods for fencing the market, and outlined measures to prevent future disasters.
