Kumawu NDC youth vandalise party office over DCE nominee

-

A group of irate youth from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Kumawu Constituency of the Ashanti Region stormed the party’s constituency office, causing significant property damage.

Computers, chairs, tables, and important documents were vandalized during the incident.

The disturbance is reportedly linked to internal party conflicts surrounding the selection of a District Chief Executive for Sekyere Kumawu.

Secretary for the constituency, Suale Orlanto Yakubu, addressed the media following the disturbances in the audio below.

Similarly, in the Talensi Constituency of the Upper East Region, disgruntled foot soldiers staged a protest against the President’s nominee.

JoyNews’ Albert Sore reported that the attack may have been carried out by party foot soldiers upset over the nomination of John Millim Naabwomya as the District Chief Executive (DCE).
