An Uber driver has been arrested in connection with the two Canadian ladies who were allegedly kidnapped by unidentified men in Kumasi on Wednesday.
Reports by Nhyira FM’s Ohemeng Tawiah indicate that the Uber driver is believed to have been present at the time of the two ladies’ abduction.

“The girls went to eat at Ahodwo and afterwards ordered an Uber to their hostel and on their way, they realised they were being trailed by another car and were finally abducted by the men at the entrance of the hostel at Nhyiaeso,” Ohemeng Tawiah reported.
Meanwhile, the Uber driver is expected to assist with investigations as the police continue to mount search for the culprits.

Reports indicate that one of the victims, identified only as Lauren, is in Ghana with her other colleague on an exchange programme with the Entrepreneurship Department of the Kumasi Technical University.
