Some aggrieved customers of Menzgold have hit the streets of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region to protest over their locked cash at the gold dealership firm following its closure last year.

The protesters also set car tyres ablaze.
Their action, Prince reported, has caused a gridlock in the region.
The over hundred demonstrators, Prince said, are hoisting placards castigating the embattled CEO of Menzgold, Nana Appiah Mensah.

One angry customer who spoke to Prince Appiah said management of the gold firm, have over the months, failed to keep promises made to them hence they couldn’t be trusted.
“All we want is our money; Nana Appiah Mensah and his men promised us but have failed so we are here to do all we can to collect our locked monies. We are not backing out,” she said.

The customers have, for the past six months, been demanding the payment of their principal investments after the gold dealership company was instructed by the Securities and Exchange Commission to halt their gold trading operations with the public.

Meanwhile, the police in the region have ordered the group to back down on their activities, saying it was “illegal.”
