To ensure access to clean, safe, and sustainable water for students and staff Kumasi Girls Senior High School(SHS) has gotten a mechanized water project courtesy Young Visionary Leaders Ghana.

This achievement is thanks to the generous sponsorship of Danish partners Rungsted Gymnasium, Ega Ungdoms Hojskole, Skals Efterskole, and LoveSpring.

At the commissioning ceremony, the Founder and Executive Director of Young Visionary Leaders Ghana, Joseph Tettey Afangbe expressed gratitude to the partners.

“This project symbolizes the long-standing friendship and partnership between Ghana and Denmark, united for a common cause – ensuring a better future for our youth.”

The project addresses the critical need for water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) in schools, directly contributing to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 4 and 6.

With over 570 million children globally lacking access to basic drinking water at school, this initiative sets a positive example.

“This mechanized water project guarantees access to clean water, advancing the health, dignity, and future of our young women,” said Mr. Afangbe.

“It’s an investment in their education, empowerment, and sustainable development.”

The partnership between Young Visionary Leaders Ghana and Danish organizations demonstrates the power of collaboration across borders.

Mr. Afangbe concluded, “May this project inspire more initiatives like it, and may Kumasi Girls Senior High School continue to thrive, producing leaders who will carry forward the torch of progress.”
