Residents of a house at Kokoase at Abrepo Junction in the Bantama Municipality of the Ashanti Region were shocked to have received an unwanted and dangerous visitor in their home when they woke up to see a crocodile on their compound.
According to reports, a young woman by the name Kyerewaa who was just about to sweep their compound suddenly spotted the live crocodile much to her shock, leaving her terrified.
It is not clear how the reptile came to the house.
The residents told Kumasi based Abusua FM that they were stunned by their discovery which they described as bizarre since there is no river or a lake near that area from where the crocodile could emanate from.
The dangerous animal however did not harm anybody.
The Landlord of that house reportedly insisted that it should be killed but some superstitious residents also thought otherwise, urging that the animal should be left alive for some rites to be performed to the gods of the land as it was strange for such an animal to appear in the area.
Authorities of the Kumasi Zoo were later called in to convey the reptile to the zoo.
