Krofrom Assembly apologizes for clash between community and Fire Service

The Assembly Member for Krofrom East Electoral Area in Kumasi, Patrick Kwame Frimpong, has issued a formal apology following a clash between community members and personnel from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) during a fire outbreak on December 27, 2024.

In an official letter addressed to the Regional Commander of the GNFS, Mr Frimpong expressed regret over the incident, which escalated after community members became enraged when the fire destroyed several structures, including the Kingdom Temple International Church and Trinity TV station.

The clash required Police intervention to restore calm, and fire service personnel reinforced their efforts to bring the situation under control.

Mr Frimpong assured that those involved in the confrontation would be dealt with according to the law to prevent future occurrences.

He also used the opportunity to call on the government to support the GNFS with additional equipment and resources to enhance their operations.

The Assembly Member praised the professionalism of the GNFS team and reiterated his commitment to fostering peace in the community.
