The Member of Parliament (MP) for Krachi West constituency, Helen Adwoa Ntoso, has handed over a two-unit classroom facility to Dadekro M/A Kindergarten in the Krachi West municipality of the Oti Region.
The new classrooms are expected to provide a conducive learning environment for the pupils who have been struggling and help alleviate the issue of overcrowding in the school.
Madam Ntoso underscored the importance of education in the development of the community and urged the pupils to take advantage of the new facilities to excel in their studies.
She reiterated her commitment to supporting education in the area and promised to continue working towards improving the educational infrastructure in the Krachi West Municipality
Speaking to Adom News, the headteacher, Joseph Kwesi Mensah, expressed his gratitude to the MP for her support in improving the school’s facilities.
He acknowledged the need for quality education and how the new classrooms will benefit the pupils in their academic pursuits.
According to him, the lack of quality infrastructure for the KG children was affecting the quality of teaching and learning.
Mr Mensah appealed to the MP for the renovation of the primary block, tables, chairs and other learning materials for the school.
The Assembly member of the area, Confidence Nketia and some community members expressed their gratitude to Helen Ntoso for her efforts in improving the educational sector in the area.
They commended her for her commitment to the development of the community and for prioritising education as a key area of focus.
