Board Chairman of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Dr. Kwame Kyei is optimistic about his team’s chances of winning the 2017 Africa Confederation Cup next season.
The Porcupine Warriors qualified to partake in the competition after beating their arch-rivals Accra Hearts of Oak by three goals to one in the 2016/2017 MTN FA Cup competition at the Tamale Sports Stadium.
In an interview with Patrick Osei Agyeman (a.k.a Country Man Songo) on FireforFire, the businessman stated that Kotoko will go into next seasons Confederation Cup competition well equipped.
“My wish is for Kumasi Asante Kotoko to participate in the Confederation cup and win it next season.
“The team will go to Africa well prepared and if God wills we will win the Cup” he stated.
“I can’t promise we will bring the Cup home, but we will do our best ,play our hearts out and if we win the trophy at the end, then glory be to God” Dr. Kwame Kyei stressed.
Kotoko will be making a return to Africa after their first round elimination to MC El Eulma of Algeria in the first leg qualifying round of the 2015 CAF Champions League.
