Kotoko CEO reacts to fans who say they are afraid of Hearts

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, George Amoako, says they don’t fear playing Accra Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium.

According to him, the Porcupine Warriors play well against Hearts of Oak in Accra than even Kumasi, so fear doesn’t come in at all.

His comment comes after a section of football enthusiasts criticised the management of the club that they are afraid to play Hearts in Accra and that was why they decided not to play the Tier 1 semi-final match scheduled to be played on June 16.

Speaking to Asempa Sports, the CEO emphasised that fear is the last thing they think off so far as the game is concerned.

“We do not fear Accra Hearts of Oak at Accra Sports Stadium; those who follow the game know that Kotoko play better and are luckier at the Accra Sports Stadium even than in Kumasi, they know; and we are sure of beating them anywhere,” he stressed.

The Porcupine Warriors have petitioned the Normalisation Committee over the decision to play the match at the Accra Sports Stadium insisting that, the game be played on a neutral ground and the gate proceeds shared equally.
