Kotoko CEO pleads for patience from fans

The Executive Chairman of Asante Kotoko, Dr. Kwame Kyei, has pleaded with fans and sympathizers of the club to be patient and continue to support the club.

Asante Kotoko and CARA Brazzaville combined to miss four penalties during their preliminary-round CAF Confederation Cup clash last Sunday before the Porcupine Warriors converted a fifth of the game later on to take a 1-0 win.

Speaking to Kumasi based Light FM, Dr. Kwame Kyei said.” I would like to thank all the fans for their support so far and also urge them to continue supporting the team.

“I want them to remain calm and continue supporting and praying for us”, he added.

Kotoko missed three spot kicks, all taken by different players during the 90 minutes, while the Congolese heavyweights missed one of their own later on.

The result means Kotoko must avoid defeat in the return fixture before they can progress to the next stage of the competition.

The winner of the two legged affair will then face either Ben Guerdane of Tunisia or Al Hilal Juba of South Sudan in the next round of the competition.

Dr. Kwame Kyei has pledged to reward each player with a two bedroom apartment should the team win this year’s CAF Confederations.
