Konongo to host the 2nd edition of Asante Akyem Kayanival

The Konongo Arts and Youth Association in the Asante Akim Central in the Ashanti region is set to celebrate the second edition of the Konongo Arts and Youth Annual Carnival termed “Kayanival” this festive season.

The festival which is slated for 28th December 2024 at Old Station Bar is parked with a street carnival in the principal streets of Konongo with revellers adorn in prescribed costume, among the events include street donation, Artiste night, candlelight vigil and fufuo party.

Speaking in an interview the organiser of this carnival, Kingsley Kofi Owoahene Frimpong said the main idea behind the programme is to empower the youth in Asante Akim Central through arts, and entertainment and promote tourism in the area.

“With this Kayanival, we can empower the youth of the Asante Akim Central through arts and entertainment as well as the tourism sites in the Municipality “ he said

He urged all stakeholders and youth in Asante Akim Central to get involved in this Kayanival to help in achieving their target.

“I call upon all stakeholders and youth in Asante Akim Central to partake in this carnival this festive season for us to win together” he stated

Konongo Arts and Youth Annual Carnival ( Kayanival) is the brainchild of the Konongo Arts and Youth Association; young and energetic citizens of Asante Akyem Central Municipality.

The Association has our hundred ( 100) members with the vision to use the carnival to spice up festive seasons, especially Christmas in Konongo, and promote development.
