Western Regional Football Association Chairman, Kojo Yankah has accused Dreams FC and Tema Youth of covertly pushing the idea of an 18 club league.
Ahead of the Ghana Football Association congress scheduled for December 12, it has been reported that the football governing body is considering the option to put an end to the protracted case, which has dragged on for over two years and been heard at the Court of Appeal for Sports.
The case borders on the eligibility of a Dreams FC player, a case pursued by Tema Youth in a bid to re-enter the Premier League.
The Ghana Football Association is yet to take a decision on the case but Mr. Yankah believes Dreams FC and Tema Youth should be blamed for whatever is happening.
“I am very surprised at Tema Youth and Dreams FC because they did not seriously pursue the case because of their ‘friends and cronies’ behavior but it shouldn’t have been so” Mr. Yankah told Asempa FM.
“They should be blamed for all that is happening because if they had pursued the case properly we wouldn’t be at this stage but I believe in the executive members who will bring out the decision because I have tested them once and I believe they will do a good job.
“I will accept the decision if it goes in favour of Dreams FC or Tema Youth but they are to be blamed for this chaos” he added.
