Kojo Blak sets tongues wagging with performance for Ga Mantse

-

Fast-rising musician Kojo Blak and his team paid a courtesy call on the Ga Mantse, His Royal Majesty King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, in a gesture of respect and cultural pride.

The visit was highlighted by a heartfelt live performance of Kojo Blak’s hit single, “Over Do,” which left the King and his elders visibly impressed.

Kojo Blak, who is of Ga descent, used the occasion to honour the Ga State and express his gratitude for the support he has received throughout his musical journey.

The King and his elders were visibly moved by the young artist’s humility, stagecraft, and potential, encouraging him to stay grounded and continue using his platform to inspire and uplift the youth.

The visit also saw Kojo Blak receive blessings and fortification from the traditional leaders.

However, the performance has sparked mixed reactions from the public.

While some critics questioned the appropriateness of performing a song with what they describe as vulgar lyrics before traditional leaders, others applauded Kojo Blak for embracing his roots and paying homage to the Ga State.
