Kofi Kinaata has unfollowed me over ‘no-show’ at Made in Taadi concert – Medikal

Medikal has addressed a recent misunderstanding with fellow musician Kofi Kinaata, revealing that the two had a minor fallout over his failure to perform at Kinaata’s headline concert, “Made in Taadi.”

Speaking during his “Beyond Kontrol” concert on December 26, Medikal shared his side of the story and issued a public apology to Kofi Kinaata.

The rapper explained that, his absence at the “Made in Taadi” concert was due to a scheduling conflict and an unfortunate lapse in memory.

He attributed the situation to his packed schedule, which caused him to forget about the event—a mistake he said he deeply regretted.

“I forgot to play some show for my bro Kofi Kinaata because then something was happening, and man forgot a bit,” Medikal admitted on stage. “As I couldn’t go, I saw that he unfollowed me. But you see, Kofi Kinaata is somebody I love, so I watched the thing like he was hurt.”

Using the platform of his “Beyond Kontrol” concert, Medikal expressed his remorse and reassured fans that his friendship with Kinaata remained strong.

In a heartfelt promise, he pledged to make up for his absence by attending the next “Made in Taadi” event and contributing to its success.

“Kofi Kinaata, I apologise,” he said. “Next year, Made in Taadi, we go do it again, greater. You should follow me back, I won’t unfollow you.”

Kofi Kinaata, however, had a lighthearted response to the situation, bringing a humorous twist to the narrative.

Taking to his X (formerly Twitter) account, Kinaata clarified that he had not unfollowed Medikal because of the missed performance. Instead, he joked that the only reason he would ever unfollow Medikal would be if the rapper claimed he could beat him in a FIFA video game match.

“The only thing that will make me unfollow Medikal is when he talks somewhere that he will score me in FIFA,” Kinaata wrote, injecting a playful tone into the ongoing conversation.
