Katanga Alumni Coordinating team member, Nana Adjei, says management of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has not learnt any lessons ahead of the clash that happened Monday.
According to him, the students have been threatening mayhem right from day one when school authorities decided to convert the Katanga hall into a mixed-sex hall so they could have picked intelligence that the clash which happened yesterday could happen.

Nana Adjei speaking on Adom FM’s current affairs show, Burning Issues Monday said the attitude of the school management shows they have not learnt from their mistakes and do not feel any remorse.

Meanwhile, Lawyer and Gender Activist, Gloria Ofori Boadu said the happenings at the university showed the men were against women.
But MP for Kwadaso Constituency in the region, Dr Samiu Kwadwo Nuamah disagreed with Gloria Ofori Boadu, saying the issue was not about sexism.

The MP said the situation was a serious one that needed to be tackled.
Dr Nuamah said interim measures must be put in place to curb the situation instead of making it a sexism issue.
