KNUST launches rail robotics club at Ola Girls’ SHS

The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has officially inaugurated the “Rail Robotics Club” at Ola Girls’ Senior High School in Kenyasi, Ahafo Region.

The initiative aims to enhance students’ knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Robotics.

A senior lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at KNUST, Dr. Eunice Akyereko Adjei, explained in an interview with Adom TV that the club is designed to equip students with the skills and understanding necessary to navigate the rapidly evolving fields of AI and Robotics.

She emphasized that the club would empower students to use these technologies to address challenges in their communities, ultimately improving living standards.

Dr. Adjei also noted that similar clubs would be established in junior and senior high schools nationwide to foster innovation and creativity among students.

Speaking on behalf of Ola Girls’ SHS, assistant headmaster of administration, Richard Ernest Amankwah, expressed gratitude to KNUST for the initiative.

He assured journalist Sammy Asare that the school management would work to ensure the club remains effective and achieves its goals.
